It's been a month since school was OFFICIALLY done.
It comes to the point of frustration within ones view on life or school in general. Was my $50,000 diploma worth it? I went to a school that thought me to use Photoshop like an expert.... I think I should have just photoshop-ed myself my very own diploma and all it would cost would be the ink and paper and a frame if needed.
A couple of us graduates like anyone out there are graduates wanting to work, but it seems like there isn't anything or anyone willing to give us a shot. I don't want to sound like a looser because I dare not want to call myself one.
I say "NO!!!" to failure!
As much as my hopes feel terrible lost or that I am frustrated to the point that I realized how much of a TV/ MOVIE Junkie I've been. I've obsessed with watching Celebrity Entertainment shows. I found myself crushing over "Milo Ventimiglia" Mr. Peter Petrilli of the hit TV show "HEROES". Pathetic enough that I had a dream one night about a relationship that I had with him and surprisingly we had a child. Say "WHAT?!" okay????? Must smack my face back into reality.
As of last night before I went to bed, I told myself that I will not turn on my damn computer for any reason other than to do design work. Yeah... that didn't last long. I want to be free of the MEDIA frenzy. I don't want to pollute my brain that HOLLYWOOD is where I would like to be or that BRITNEY really is just a HUMAN (go Chris Crocker!!!).... crazy to the point that I don't want to see MILO with HAYDEN. He is MINE!!!!! (ain't I a sore loser!)
Okay, back to the topic. WHEN IN DOUBT!
I am a BFA Graphic Designer, who loves designing. I have a wide interest in how the world functions and the science to why RED makes me hungry and why BLUE makes me sad. I have a fascination to anything ethical or psychological. I am more than a designer. I am a Design Strategist. That's what my business card says.
I've been looking for a job for 4 months and to this point it seems that I am also looking for a relationship. Let's face it... it's like looking for a boyfriend that qualifies. But at this point I shouldn't sound desperate or picky with either. It's quite pathetic if you would like to know.
It's like you gave out your number and you're sitting by the phone all day waiting for the dinner/interview. The big date of will he ask me out for a second date or hiring. Get my analogy? Pathetic how both situations can relate to one another.
All of this to sum it up makes me realize that maybe I really should have been something else. I am currently seeking to go back to get another degree. Totally different from being a designer, but seriously it may help industries in the long run. I want to be an Environmentalist specializing in Sustainable Design for corporations that invest in the design industry. Everything I want created or being sold in stores or elsewhere worldwide should invest in renewable products. I love paper so much that I should teach myself to not make one cut anymore trees but rather recycle those old papers and use them over and over again.
I know it's a lot of science, but my mother earth needs it. There are others on the rise already with ideas and I want to be part of that. I want to be totally green. Not a vegan, (you see MILO won't agree with me.. he's a Vegan) but a tree hugger. haha!
So i would have to work twice at much to pay off my massive loans and work somewhere that can help pay off my bills yet at the same time also help me go to school again. I hope it's worth it.
My future goal? Probably be along sided with AL GORE (if you're registered to vote.. even if he isn't on the ballot.. give him a shot WRITE HIM IN!!) and his goal to get the world to open up their minds about Global Warming. I really wouldn't want to know that the ocean will shallow up my tiny island home of Saipan. That mountain that we call a "mountain" isn't big enough for everyone to live on once the tides decided to elevate UP and take everyone away. I would love to grow old on that island and I hope it's still around when I retire.
I'm off to go do a drug test now. My old job is willing to take me back. Sadly....
I love movies and summer is always filled with great new movies... I usually go for not the so-called blockbuster but rather one that has meaning or a message. Here are a few of what I had seen or would like to see soon!
